Have you ever had clients show up to a session in outfits that can best be described as questionable? Do families consistently ask you to take photos at the worst time of day? What if one guide could help prepare your clients for their family portraits session so that they not only looked better, but trusted you more?
As photographers, we consistently found that when it came to walking families through choosing complimentary outfits, prepping kids, choosing locations, and everything else one should consider for a session over e-mail, many of our tips were lost in translation. Maybe we were asking too much (of an email?)
So we started sending our clients a guide that listed some of our favorite locations, tips for bringing pets, the reason why we shoot 2-hours before sunset, the importance of professional hair and makeup, outfit suggestions, why we value prints and so much more.
Not only did this improve our client’s experience, we haven’t seen a football jersey at a session in years. Our clients come to their sessions both looking AND feeling their best and as a result, we are able to produce much higher quality images.
